Haddington Contracting operates a versatile fleet equipped to handle the transportation of all types of machinery, from agricultural and farm equipment to heavy construction machinery.
Our fleet includes multiple extendable step-frame low loader trailers, as well as extendable knock-out neck trailers — allowing us to accommodate longer, lower, and more complex loads with ease.
All of our units and trailers are fitted with rear-steer axles, enhancing manoeuvrability and enabling safe access to sites with restricted or limited entry points.
Additionally, we are fully equipped to handle abnormal loads and operate our own dedicated abnormal load escort vehicles, ensuring full compliance and safe delivery from start to finish. Our dedicated team are able to input Movement Orders for larger pieces of machinery which fall into the Abnormal Load category to ensure that all movements are completed to the highest standard.
At Haddington Contracting, with our Lorry Mounted Cranes we are able to lift, move and deliver a wide range of products including Cabins, Tanks and Farm Equipment without the need of any additional loading or unloading equipment.
We have three lorry mounted cranes which have a full reach of 17 metres with a side lift capacity of 10 tonnes and a full reach capacity of 3 tonnes.
In 2023 we took delivery of an additional fly-jib crane which has a total reach of 30 metres. This enables our team to complete more specialist lifts with ease. We have recently added an addition to this fly-jib extension which works as a clam-shell grab attachment. We have had great success with this recently completing works for The Environment Agency.
Our full team of drivers and crane operators are experienced and Certified Lorry Mounted Crane Operators. Our Lorries, Cranes and Lifting Equipment are of a top standard and are examined by certified companies on a regular basis to ensure we are providing only the best and safest service to all of our customers.
